A 30-Year Bond Between Schools Remains Strong (China Daily)

China Daily writes that during her visit to the country last month, President Carol L. Folt told an audience in Beijing that the 30-year partnership between Dartmouth and Beijing Normal University is “the first partnership between universities in the U.S. and China. It is also the longest uninterrupted partnership between our nations.”

The newspaper reported that Folt said the long-standing relationship with Beijing Normal University includes one of the most popular study abroad programs for Dartmouth students. “Many students apply for the program, making it very competitive,” she said. “It’s a great chance to learn a language and about China. Everybody who is interested in China wants to come.”
