If You’re ‘Keen to Stay Cheery,’ 7 Fruits and Vegetables a Day (The Atlantic)

According to a new study conducted by researchers from Dartmouth College and the University of Warwick, eating seven servings of fruits and vegetables a day is the ideal daily consumption for a person’s psychological well-being, reports The Atlantic. David Blanchflower, the Bruce V. Rauner Professor of Economics at Dartmouth, is co-author of the study, titled “Is Psychological Well-being Linked to the Consumption of Fruit and Vegetables?”

The article notes that according to the study, a “remarkably robust” pattern was found, in which “happiness and mental health rise in an approximately dose-response way with the number of daily portions of fruit and vegetables.”
