In an interview with the Belfast Telegraph, David Blanchflower, the Bruce V. Rauner Professor of Economics at Dartmouth, discusses the impact that the continued control of inflation rates by the Bank of England could have on the economy of Northern Ireland.

“Think of the people in Northern Ireland on tracker mortgages,” says Blanchflower. “(If interest rates rise) that’s not going to be good for them, and the worry is that you’ll also see more and more companies failing as well.”
