A newly installed sculpture at Dartmouth “creates music as it collects snow,” reports The Boston Globe. Ice Chimes, a 20-foot-tall sculpture created by Keith Moskow ’83 and Robert Linn of Moskow Linn Architects in Boston, is on loan to Dartmouth this winter.

According to the article, heated coils melt the snow that is collected in a canopy atop the sculpture’s timbers. The melted snow then forms icicles on the sculpture’s metal rods, which chime in the wind.
