Runner’s World reports that Abbey D’Agostino ’14, a member of the Dartmouth women’s track and field team, has the fastest mile time in the world this year. She clocked a mile in 4:34.15 at the January 13, 2013, Dartmouth Relays, and will be one of the headliners at the Millrose Games in Manhattan on February 16, the magazine reports.

In a question-and-answer interview with Runner’s World, D’Agostino says she’s “pumped” for running the Millrose Mile. “It sounds like it’s going to be a high-energy event.”

D’Agostino also talks about running at Dartmouth, saying “I’m surrounded by people who take the sport just as seriously as I do, but it’s also a fun and encouraging atmosphere.”
