Orozco Murals at Dartmouth Named National Landmark (The Boston Globe)

The Epic of American Civilization, the José Clemente Orozco murals at Dartmouth’s Baker-Berry Library, has been named a National Historic Landmark, reports The Boston Globe.

The U.S. Department of the Interior and National Parks Service, which announced the designation Monday, March 11, 2013, said the murals, painted between 1932 and 1934, are the most important work in the United States by Orozco, reports the Globe.
