Colleges Assess National Binge Drinking Project (The Boston Globe)

In a story about what colleges and universities are doing to reduce high-risk alcohol consumption, the Associated Press takes a look at programs that have been initiated by member institutions of the National College Health Improvement Project (NCHIP), which was founded at Dartmouth in 2011.

‘‘For Dartmouth, it’s been transformative,’’ says Aurora Matzkin ’97, director of the Dartmouth College Health Improvement Project. ‘‘We went from having one alcohol and other drug coordinator who did most of the work on alcohol at Dartmouth, to having a team of 17 that are across the college. So this is no longer the effort of one man; it’s the effort of a big team.’’
