Dartmouth College’s New President Settles In (Valley News)

In a story about President Phil Hanlon’s first three months at Dartmouth, the Valley News writes that he and his wife, Gail Gentes, have been on a campaign to meet as many students as possible.President Hanlon tells the newspaper that he and Gentes have met with more than 300 students so far and have attended about 25 students functions.

The two have also invited students to their home each week to dine with them and talk about their experiences. “I think we both feel like we really want to listen to students. … They tend to bring ideas as well as questions,” Hanlon tells the newspaper.
