For Hanlon, a Reacquaintance (The Chronicle of Higher Education)

Dartmouth inducted President Phil Hanlon ’77 into the life of the mind, he tells The Chronicle of Higher Education. “That’s really what Dartmouth brought me.”

The Chronicle writes that since starting his new job in June, President Hanlon has taken time to become reacquainted with his alma mater. “I recognize that I was here a really long time ago,” he says.

Recently, notes the Chronicle, Hanlon spoke publicly about his vision for Dartmouth, which includes, among other priorities, “adding faculty members, encouraging ‘experiential education,’ expanding the schools of engineering and business, and containing tuition costs.”
