Associate Professor of Engineering Vicki May suggests five inexpensive stocking stuffer ideas aimed at inspiring creativity and tinkering in young engineers, writes the Union Leader. “A lot of engineering is being creative,” says May, who was recently named New Hampshire Professor of the Year.

On her list are duct tape, Popsicle sticks, and aluminum foil to make a simple solar cooker, the newspaper reports.
