Yes, Exercise During Pregnancy (U.S. News & World Report)


A number of new studies suggest that exercising during pregnancy can have a positive impact on the developing fetus, according to U.S News & World Report. At Dartmouth, Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences David Bucci led one such study. It found that the male offspring of rats that had exercised while pregnant had “better object recognition as adults,” the magazine reports.

The study shows that exercise during pregnancy has “long-lasting effects on the behavior and the cognitive function of the offspring,” says Bucci.
