Attending physician Christina Ullrich ’94 features prominently in this New Yorker piece about the Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT) at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

“Perhaps it sounds like reinventing the wheel,” Ullrich tells writer and Harvard physician Jerome Groopman. “But the PACT approach was what I had hoped medicine would be.”

PACT is one of the country’s first pediatric palliative-care programs, according to the story. And Ullrich was one of the first physicians in the country to be trained in the discipline.
