Miller and Lord met at Dartmouth and were “drawn together by their similar sense of humor,” the article notes. The two were “well aware of the dim reputation of toy movies. But in their short but rapidly ascending careers, the comic duo has turned weak premises like a 21 Jump Street remake and an adaptation of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs into surprisingly fresh, crowd-pleasing hits,” writes the AP.
