Dartmouth graduates are often recognized for their boundless spirit and global frame of mind. But have you ever wondered if they truly roam “’round the girdled Earth” as the Alma Mater says?

Dartmouth alumni are scattered around the globe, living and working in more than 150 countries.

Well, judging by photos collected over the past six months from alumni in more than 150 different countries, they do. Alumni and students have lived and worked in nearly every country in the world, from Fiji to France, from Croatia to Cote d’Ivoire. These photos highlight the global presence of 7,000 Dartmouth alumni who live abroad.

Just like their geography, alumni professions are diverse. They are U.S. ambassadors, entrepreneurs, teachers, journalists, graduate students, athletes, Peace Corps volunteers, and leaders and administrators of nonprofits. The photos include a former prime minister of Finland, a professional soccer player from New Zealand, and the conductor of the Munich International Orchestra.
