For his fifth-place finish, Caldwell earned first-team All-America honors, an honor that eluded Silas Talbot ’15, who finished 11th, a mere four-tenths of a second outside the top 10. The other All-America honor for the Big Green came in the women’s 15-kilometer freestyle as Annie Hart ’14 placed eighth for a spot on the second team, the fifth All-America honor of her collegiate career.
