The Big Green finished in sixth place with 261.5 points at the NCAA Skiing Championships, hosted by the University of Utah. The event concluded on March 8 with the slalom and Nordic freestyle races. The Dartmouth men’s cross country skiers tied for second in the 20-kilometer freestyle, with Patrick Caldwell ’17 claiming fifth place in the event.
For his fifth-place finish, Caldwell earned first-team All-America honors, an honor that eluded Silas Talbot ’15, who finished 11th, a mere four-tenths of a second outside the top 10. The other All-America honor for the Big Green came in the women’s 15-kilometer freestyle as Annie Hart ’14 placed eighth for a spot on the second team, the fifth All-America honor of her collegiate career.
