In a Boston Globe opinion piece about Russia’s seizure of Crimea, Dartmouth’s Daniel Benjamin writes that American leadership alone cannot prevent further aggression by Vladimir Putin.

Benjamin, the Norman E. McCulloch Jr. Director of the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding, writes that “without decisive, sustained European action, there is no way to impose the costs that President Obama and other leaders rightly believe are essential for curbing Russian misbehavior.”
