April and May are busy months at Dartmouth, with conferences, symposiums, and performances scheduled across campus. Here is a look at some of the upcoming events.
April 24: The Institute of Arctic Studies at the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding is co-sponsoring a panel discussion from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on “Art and Activism” with the Hood Museum of Art. The panel discussion, which takes place in the Hood Auditorium, includes three former Dartmouth artists-in-residence: Subhankar Banerjee, Daniel Heyman, and Sana Musasama.
April 28: The Neukom Institute for Computational Science is sponsoring “Your Future in Science” at the Hanover Inn from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. The event comprises a one-day workshop for building career skills specific to the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). It is an official satellite event of the USA Science & Engineering Festival this weekend in Washington, D.C. Registration is closed, but there is a waiting list. April 28: The Dickey Center will host William McCants of the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution. McCants will deliver a lecture titled “Religious Politics after the Arab Spring,” at 4:30 p.m. in Room 041 in the Haldeman Center.
