In a video interview posted by Let’sRun.com, running legend Abbey D’Agostino ’14 talks about her third-place finish June 14 at the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore.

“I think that was all I had today,” says the seven-time NCAA champion, and goes on to praise the two runners—Texas senior Marielle Hall and Stanford’s Aisling Cuffe—who passed her by.

“I’m just so blessed at all that Dartmouth has given me, like these opportunities I’ve had with the NCAA … Dartmouth is always going to be in my heart. Maybe it was my last official race representing them, but this is always going to be true.”

Asked how she wants to be remembered as a collegiate runner, D’Agostino says, “One thing that came to mind is … representing the potential of an Ivy League athlete.”
