Made in India, Competing in Thayer Race (The New Indian Express)

A group of students from India designed a hybrid car that fared well in this year’s Formula Hybrid International Competition, held by Thayer School of Engineering, reports The New Indian Express.

The 15-member team, known as Chimera, developed the car, which runs on petrol and battery-powered electricity, the newspaper reports. The team’s car placed ninth in Thayer’s annual competition. This year’s event, at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, marked the fifth time Thayer has held the annual competition.
