Dartmouth Now takes note when faculty members weigh in on issues of the day. Here is today’s “Quoted”:

“Unfortunately, much of what we know from earlier research is based on smoking marijuana with much lower doses of THC than are commonly used today,” says Alan Budney, professor of psychiatry at the Geisel School of Medicine, in a Business Standard story about the negative effect that frequent marijuana use can have on the brains of teenagers and young adults, including cognitive decline, poor attention and memory, and decreased IQ.
