Backing Startups With Dartmouth Ties (The Wall Street Journal)

The Wall Street Journal features the Green D Founders Fund, a new venture fund started by a group of Dartmouth alumni. The fund, reports the Journal, “will pool money from up to 40 Dartmouth alumni and back 12 to 18 startups whose founders or managers have a Dartmouth connection.” The fund will be advised by the Boston-based venture capital firm, Launch Angels.

Dartmouth, “like many colleges, is seeing a burst of interest in entrepreneurship,” the article notes. Events sponsored by the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network are “filled to capacity on a regular basis,” Trip Davis ’90, the executive director of the Office of Entrepreneurship & Technology Transfer, tells the Journal.
