Convocation exercises marking the 245th year of the College will be held at 3:15 p.m. on Monday, September 15, beginning the fall term. Speakers will include President Phil Hanlon ’77, Provost Carolyn Dever, and Student Assembly President Casey Dennis ’15.
Convocation, the assembly that marks the start of each academic year, returns to Leede Arena in the John W. Berry Sports Center this year. Convocation 2013 incorporated the inauguration of President Hanlon as Dartmouth’s 18th president, and was held on the Green.
The annual community lunch, hosted by Hanlon and his wife, Gail Gentes, also takes place September 15. It will be held on Tuck Mall from 12 noon to 2 p.m. The Class of 1953 Commons is the rain site for the Community Lunch.
