For a new New York Times feature called “In Leadership,” Dartmouth’s Andrew Samwick writes an opinion piece about the leadership implications of the phrase “too big to fail.”

Samwick, director of the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences and the Sandra L. and Arthur L. Irving ’72a P’10 Professor of Economics, writes, “With the perspective offered by time, distance, and a recovering economy, we can see now that this phrase has deep implications for policy makers who bear the responsibility of acting during a crisis—as well as between crises.”
