“For a long time, political analysts have warned that the militarization of the drug war has been targeting social activists, not just the drug cartels. And I think this becomes very explicit here,” says Associate Professor of History Tanalís Padilla in a Democracy Now story about the disappearance of 43 college students in Mexico.
