Dartmouth Now takes note when faculty weigh in on issues of the day. Here is today’s “Quoted”:

“When people have a highly stigmatized illness, they can feel highly isolated and alone with their symptoms and their experiences,” says John Naslund, a PhD student in health policy at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice, in an NHPR story about the mentally ill and their use of YouTube to create a sense of community.

Naslund is the lead author of a Dartmouth study about mentally ill people who post their stories on the online video platform.
