Nov. 20: NCAA post-season Division I men’s soccer comes to Dartmouth, as the Big Green hosts Fordham in the first round of the 2014 championship tournament at Burnham Field. Gates open at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, for a 5 p.m. game start.
Nov. 20: Mathematical modeling meets the law as Neukom Fellow Allen Riddell presents “Modeling the History of the American Judiciary.” Riddell’s talk, sponsored by Dartmouth’s mathematics and social sciences program, begins at noon on Thursday, Nov. 20, in Silsby 119.
Nov. 21: Artisans from the College and around New England fill the Hopkins Center’s Alumni Hall with handmade goods for sale at the Dartmouth College Library Staff Association’s 23rd annual craft fair. Sales benefit the staff association’s scholarship fund. The fair is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21.
Nov. 21: Thayer School welcomes attorney and cyber security expert Roland Trope as this week’s Charles C. Jones Seminar speaker. Trope’s talk, “Preparing to Recover from Cyber Disruptions of the Grid,” begins at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Nov. 21, in the Spanos Auditorium at Cummings Hall.
Nov. 23: The Department of Music’s Vaughn Recital Series presents William Ghezzi, solo guitar, on Sunday, Nov. 23. The performance, featuring works by Luys Milan, George Van Eps, J.S. Bach, Gerald Garcia, and Mauro Giuliani, starts at 4 p.m. at the Hopkins Center’s Faulkner Recital Hall.
Nov. 25: “Palliative Medicine and End of Life Care” is the topic of a seminar presented by Frances C. Brokaw, assistant professor of medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine, and a provider in the sections of General Internal Medicine and of Palliative Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Brokaw’s talk begins at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, in Borwell 658 West at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
