During a guest appearance on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report, writer and military veteran Phil Klay ’05 talks about his new book, Redeployment, which is based on Klay’s experience as a U.S. Marine in Iraq. The book won this year’s National Book Award for fiction.

His collection of short stories is his “offering to the conversation about Iraq that I think we desperately need to be having, and I’m looking forward to a lot more stories about Iraq to come,” he tells host Stephen Colbert.
