Quoted: Dr. Seuss on the Meaning of Christmas

Dartmouth Now takes note when faculty and other community members weigh in on issues of the day. Here is today’s “Quoted”:

Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before! ‘Maybe Christmas,’ he thought, ‘doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas … perhaps … means a little bit more!,’ ” says the main character in How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The book is, of course, by Dr. Seuss, also known as Theodor “Ted” Geisel, Class of 1925.
