The work of 13 alumni artists will be celebrated during the “Alumni in the Arts Biennial Exhibition”, opening Jan. 10 at the Hopkins Center’s Top of the Hop and The Black Family Visual Arts Center’s Nearburg Gallery. The exhibition runs through April 30. The first alumni arts exhibition was held in the fall of 2012.

“I would’ve killed to see this when I was a student,” says Brice Brown ’95, co-curator of the exhibit and a New York City-based artist. “A lot of students don’t know how you can be an artist. This exhibition shows that it’s a possibility.”

The artistic works on display represent various media, including painting, photography, sculpture, video, book arts, drawing, and sound works.

The exhibition includes The Pyramids Are Just the Tip of the Iceberg, a cut paper on paper by Frank Chang ’01, and Frenzied, a canvas painting by Mark Brosseau ’98. (Photo by Steve Smith)
