Dartmouth Now takes note when faculty and other members of the community weigh in on issues of the day. Here is today’s “Quoted”:

“Even before ISIL captured extremists’ attention, the new trend in terrorism was becoming clear, though attacks were less frequent,” write Dartmouth’s Daniel Benjamin and Steven Simon in a Politico opinion piece on terrorism’s “new normal.”

Benjamin is director of the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding; Simon is a lecturer in the Department of Government.
