Dartmouth Now takes note when faculty and other members of the community weigh in on issues of the day. Here is today’s “Quoted”:

“This study raises serious questions about whether alcohol companies should be able to advertise on television at all, much less on a program that reaches as many children as the Super Bowl,” says the Geisel School of Medicine’s James Sargent in a CNN opinion piece about television alcohol ads that run during the game.

Sargent is the Scott M. and Lisa G. Stuart Professor in Pediatric Oncology and co-director of the Cancer Control Research Program at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center.
