Dartmouth Now takes note when faculty and other members of the community weigh in on issues of the day. Here is today’s “Quoted”:

“Therefore, if we want to reduce the financial devastation associated with illness, a sensible way to do it would be to strengthen the social safety net and reduce the cost of health care,” says Jason Houle, an assistant professor of sociology, in a Reuters story that features a study he coauthored on how people with a chronic illnesses are more likely to default on their homes than healthier people.
