The reigning NFL champion Seattle Seahawks—led by quarterback Russell Wilson—will look to defend their title against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX this Sunday. Wilson is the son of the late Harrison B. “Harry” Wilson III ’77, a former standout wide receiver for the Big Green football team, writes the New York Post.

Buddy Teevens ’79, the Robert L. Blackman Head Football Coach, was a teammate of Harry Wilson’s at Dartmouth. “Harry had such an impact on so many people,’’ Teevens tells the Post. “Any time I see the Seahawks play, I’m thinking of Harry. Last week [in the NFC Championship] it was so neat to see that competitive spirit in Russell … that was Harry. Harry was one of happiest people I ever met. You met him and he lit up a room with his bright eyes, huge smile, and great natural energy.’’
