During his interview with President Obama, CNN’s Fareed Zakaria asks the president to recommend a “book of the week.” Obama’s recommendation: Redeployment by Phil Klay ’05.

“It’s a quick but powerful, and for me, painful set of stories about the experience of ordinary soldiers in Iraq,” Obama tells Zakaria.

Klay, an Iraq War veteran, won a 2014 National Book Award for the collection of short stories.
