Dartmouth Now takes note when faculty and other members of the community weigh in on issues of the day. Here is today’s “Quoted”:

“If we can stay civil and (even relatively) calm, we can debate physician-assisted suicide while also substantially improving end-of-life care,” says the Geisel School of Medicine’s Ira Byock in a Los Angeles Times opinion piece.

Byock is an emeritus professor of medicine and of community and family medicine at Geisel.
