Dartmouth Now takes note when faculty and other members of the community weigh in on issues of the day. Here is today’s “Quoted”: 

“This would have required a nearly perfect and coincidental alignment of the two animals in their original photos so that they could be composited together. … Combined, I don’t see any evidence that the photo is not real,” says Professor of Computer Science Hany Farid in a National Geographic story about a much-discussed photo of a weasel appearing to hitch a ride on the back of a European green woodpecker.
