The students collected sap from a network of plastic tubing attached to the trees, as well as from buckets. The students boiled the sap in preparation for bottling the syrup in the on-site sugarhouse to sell at a farm event in the spring.
The sugaring is supported by the Office of Sustainability and the Outdoor Programs Office.
