Julia Nordgren, MED ’99, is an English major who became a pediatrician. Then she went to culinary school, gaining an expertise in that field that informs her work as a doctor, reports Yahoo News.

 “I’ve never been risk-averse. Not much holds me back from new experiences,” Nordgren tells Yahoo News.
