John Brady ’19 on Hiking the Appalachian Trail

Body

John Brady ’19 walked for more than three months to get to campus. And a day after arriving in Hanover, he took off again. Brady will start his academic career at Dartmouth in the fall, but this summer he passed through town during his attempt to hike the entire 2,200-mile Appalachian Trail.

The hike is one of several adventures Brady has embarked on during his gap year. In this video, Brady talks about his experiences along the trail and what he’s looking forward to when he comes back to campus this fall to join his classmates.
