“Any piece of great art is quite simply a piece of great art. If you can find new ways to create them, that’s great,” says Professor Daniel Rockmore in a Quartz story about three competitions sponsored by Dartmouth’s William H. Neukom Institute for Computational Science to find out whether robots are capable of creating works of art, such as writing a short story or sonnet.

Rockmore is the William A. Neukom 1964 Distinguished Professor of Computational Science and director of the Neukom Institute.
