On Monday, Chinese stocks suffered their highest drop since 2007, reports Al Jazeera.

“The question here is if this is a big turning point or is this the end,” Professor David Blanchflower tells Al Jazeera. “The worry for any policy maker is that they probably need to act as if it’s a turning point downwards and try to prevent more harm.”

Blanchflower is the Bruce V. Rauner 1978 Professor of Economics.
