Dartmouth is ranked No. 2 for “Strong Commitment to Undergraduate Teaching” in U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Colleges 2016.” This makes the seventh consecutive year the College has been in the highest echelon of national universities.

Dartmouth is No. 12 overall among national universities based on 16 indicators used by the magazine to assess nearly 1,600 of the country’s four-year colleges and universities.

Other rankings that distinguish Dartmouth in this year’s “Best Colleges” list include a No. 2 ranking for alumni giving; a No. 5 ranking for graduation and retention rate; and a No. 8 ranking for selectivity.

Princeton is the only university listed ahead of Dartmouth in undergraduate teaching this year. The university also took the top spot in the overall ranking.
