In this video, faculty members from a variety of disciplines talk about their college journeys and make suggestions for first-year students, such as exploring classes outside your major, jumping in and trying new things, and taking advantage of research opportunities. Among other tips: Learn a language, make new friends, and push your boundaries.

The faculty members who were interviewed are Associate Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences Bradley Duchaine, Assistant Professor of Film and Media Studies Jodie Mack, Associate Professor of Mathematics Craig Sutton, and Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences Olga Zhaxybayeva.
