Video: Understanding a Newly Discovered Human Ancestor

The recent discovery of a species of hominin previously unknown to science is simply extraordinary, says Jeremy DeSilva, an associate professor of anthropology. In this video, DeSilva explains what makes this find so unusual and so significant. The fossils tell us not only about what these human ancestors were like, but also help explain why we are the way we are today, he says.
