“At our inaugural meeting in Iqaluit, we came as individual scholars from the eight Arctic Council states and left as a team focusing our research on the themes of water, energy, health, and infrastructure,“ says Dartmouth’s Ross Virginia in a U.S. Department of State blog about an international gathering of scientists in Oulu, Finland, to discuss the research projects undertaken by the Fulbright Arctic Initiative, whose inaugural meeting was in May 2015.

Virginia is the director of the Institute of Arctic Studies and the Myers Family Professor of Environmental Science.
