As fresh vegetables ripen in the late summer sun, what better place for a picnic lunch or dinner than Dartmouth’s organic farm? And now there’s a handsome new timber frame shelter with a view of the river where groups can gather for food and fellowship. It was built by students working with a professional contractor. This is how they did it, as explained by Laura Braasch, the sustainability program manager for the farm.
Braasch says farm workers and visitors may gather informally at the pavilion at any time, but for group meals and other events, she suggests making reservations by emailing the Sustainability Office.
