Beginning Jan. 15, President Phil Hanlon ’77 will be out of the office, recuperating from routine hip-replacement surgery. The elective surgery has been planned for some time to address an old athletic injury.

For the week of Jan. 15-19, President Hanlon has asked Interim Provost Dave Kotz ’86 to handle any matters that require immediate presidential-level engagement. During the month that follows, Hanlon says, he anticipates being able to work from the president’s house and expects to return to his Parkhurst Hall office as soon as his recovery allows.
