During a practice session, members of Dartmouth’s forestry team split, saw, chop, and burn wood. Oh, and they throw axes, too. That’s all to prepare for their competitions against other schools in the Northeast. But it’s also just because it’s fun, as Ben Schelling ’21 explains. “For me, it’s a stress reliever,” he says. “There’s something special about the goofiness of it.”
