Every year, during late winter and early spring, a group of students head to the Dartmouth Organic Farm to try their hand at making maple syrup. They manage every step in the process, from tapping trees to boiling sap to selling the final product. “I came to sugar crew not really knowing what to expect, and I came out of it with a community that I’ve learned to love and respect and who I’ve gotten to know as part of this crazy, quirky experience,” says Michelle Wang ’21. The program is managed by the Sustainability Office.
