Since his sophomore summer in 2017, Seamore Zhu ’19, Thayer ’20, has helped the Office of Communications capture Dartmouth’s scenes of campus and the community through his photography. From athletics to homecoming, from DOC trips to presidential candidates, he has covered it all and captured some memorable moments.
Zhu joined the Office of Communications team in 2017 as its photo intern—a position made possible by an endowment fund established by Robert C. Borwell ’25 in memory of his classmate Whitney Campbell ’25. Zhu has produced a body of work that showcases the diversity of people, places, and events at Dartmouth. While his skill behind the lens has continued to improve, his passion for the craft has been a constant.
When he graduated in 2019, Zhu returned to complete his bachelor of engineering at Thayer School of Engineering. Having finished his coursework last term, Zhu returned home to Virginia to spend some time with his family and pursue his love of photography and the outdoors while looking for work in engineering.
